Francie Huber

Dance credits: Principal dancer with The Paul Taylor Dance Company

It was at Miller-Marley that Francie Huber began her lifelong love of dance. She later earned a B.F.A. from Julliard School in New York . After dancing with many of the major dance companies in New York , Francie made her debut with The Paul Taylor Dance Company, where she was a principal dancer for 13 years. Ms. Huber created many roles for the Paul Taylor Company and was featured in the Academy Award nominated documentary film, Dancemaker. In addition, she has been featured in several television productions including the Emmy Award winning Speaking in Tongues. In 2000, she was awarded the coveted Bessie (New York Dance and Performance Award) for sustained achievement in dancing for her work with Mr. Taylor. For the past 20 years she has been a teacher of modern dance classes and is one of the select few rotating directors of Taylor 2 Dance Company. Ms. Huber continues to perform as a solo guest artist and resides in New York City with her husband.
