Roy Lightner

Award-winning Master Teacher - Choreographer

Roy Lightner is an award winning choreographer, dancer, and actor. Roy is a graduate of Oklahoma City University with a degree in Musical Theatre. He has taught at dance studios around the country, and recently toured with the PLATINUM DANCE EXPERIENCE and DANCERS INC as a master teacher and competition judge. His goal as a teacher is to provide his students with the tools needed for emotional and creative discovery.

He has performed all over the nation and recently traveled the world aboard Holland America's M.S. Prinsendam as the lead singer/dancer. He was a guest solo artist with the Kansas City Symphony in the Midwest debut of Polar Express. Recently, he headlined in a one man song and dance show, Betty Boop in Wisconsin. Regional theatre credits include: Oklahoma City Rep's production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown) , Alabama Shakespeare Festival's Peter Pan, Music Theatre of Wichita's productions 7 Brides for 7 Brothers (Gideon), White Christmas (Mike), Hairspray (IQ). Other professional theatre credits include: Damn Yankees (Vernon), Seussical (Wickersham), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Benjamin), Guys and Dolls (Nicely Nicely), Secret Garden (Dickon), Fully Monty, A Chorus Line, Aida, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom, Good News, and many more.
